Bad, Cupcake!

So how long has it been since I've posted? TOO LONG!

Paper Crafts Magazine has had three weeks of submission deadlines and I have been actively making cards and other paper goodies. Only one out of the 15 or so projects did they want but that's ok. I'll keep on keepin' on. Here's one that they didn't take that I think is my favorite. Bad, cupcake!

I originally had another idea for the icing of the cupcake but when I went to put it on the card, it just looked wierd. So I rummaged through my dies and found the Spellbinders Labels Four die cut in half worked beautifully. I was actually giddy when I figured it out and tried it. Seeing it in the picture I wonder if I went a little too crazy with the aged distressing on the outside edges of the card. It looks a little darker here than in real life. I'll have to watch that. Sometimes I get carried way with the Tim Holtz Distress Inks - I just love them.

I recently signed up for a little spot at a local high school holiday craft fair so I'm trying to collect ideas and work some of them out so I can fill up my little space with all things paper. I'm excited but I'm also a little nervous. I'm sure both emotions will grow as November approaches.
